This is the onlyarea ofMontrealwheretransitprecededurbanization.Transitfavored the developmentof this area, previously occupiedonly byfarms.One of thesefarmsisknownto more thana title,it is directly mappedto the park andurbandevelopmentin the Villeray district: Jarryfarm.
